Oct. 31-Nov. 4: World War I

We will focus on the American experience in WWI, from the reasons why the US entered into the war, to the social changes that took place during the war. This will include a look at the Espionage Act and other acts passed restricting speech, how the War Industries Board helped to quell labor unrest, and Wilson's attempt at brokering a lasting peace at Versailles.
