Write a persuasive letter to an elected official about a topic you care about. You need to reference at least one current event, and demonstrate that you understand the topic you are writing about.
You also must use three examples from history to make your point. You may make references to topics we have covered in class, or you can research others.
A well-written letter may also be eligible to earn you an hour of service!
Address your letter to Obama, congressman Ben Lujan, or Governer Susana Martinez
Turn it in with a self-addressed envelope, or get an envelope from me. I will provide the stamps.
